Jónsbók User Terms

Raxiom ehf., ID no. 570724-1180, Hlíðarvegur 16, 200 Kópavogur ('the company'), is the owner and operator of Jónsbók, a legal-research and drafting assistant for law firms, in-house teams and public bodies ('Jónsbók').

The following terms apply to the use of and access to Jónsbók. The company's services are also governed by its privacy policy, subscription terms and, where applicable, the subscriber's Data Processing Agreement.

Scope and Effective Date

These terms are specific user terms between the company, subscribers, and users, and the company grants subscribers and users a limited license to use Jónsbók in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth herein.

These terms become effective for the subscriber and user when they accept the terms on the company's website or when the party uses Jónsbók for the first time, whichever event occurs first.

Definitions

Subscribers: The term refers to parties in Jónsbók's subscription service.

User: The term user refers to each party that uses Jónsbók.

Terms: The term terms refers to these terms.

Customer Content and Model Use

Customer Content remains the property of the subscriber or user that submitted it, subject to the subscriber's internal policies and applicable law.

Customer Content is processed to provide Jónsbók and is not used to train language models. If a user explicitly submits feedback, the company may review the referenced exchange for support, debugging or product improvement.

Security in Jónsbók

The user is responsible for the use and security of their access to Jónsbók, for keeping credentials confidential, and for discontinuing use and requesting new credentials if the user believes access has been compromised. Users are not permitted to share access with others. If the subscriber uses SSO, OIDC, SAML, EASIE or MFA controls, the user must comply with those controls.

It is strictly prohibited to attempt in any way to access, publish, or reverse engineer the underlying source code or model prompts from the software used on Jónsbók. If a user gains access to underlying programming code for other reasons, such as due to a malfunction, they must report this to the company.

It is strictly prohibited to use any kind of automated software, programs, or other automated methods to access, use, copy, or monitor any part of the Jónsbók website without written permission from the company.

It is strictly prohibited to disrupt the use of other users, access another tenant's content, delete or modify content submitted by others, create unusually heavy load on the service or its infrastructure, or otherwise disrupt normal access to the service.

Electronic Notifications

Electronic notifications from Jónsbók will be sent to the user's registered email address.

The user is responsible for keeping their email address current and for checking their email regularly for notifications from Jónsbók.

Breach of Terms

If a user violates these terms, the company may immediately terminate the user's access to Jónsbók without notice.

Changes to Terms

The company reserves the right to change these terms at any time. Changes will be announced to users by email or upon the next login after the changes take effect.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by Icelandic law.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be exclusively litigated before the Reykjavík District Court.
